PostReminder is built with security, privacy, and regulatory compliance at its core. We follow industry best practices to protect end user data and maintain trust with our clients while complying with all applicable laws, including TCPA and CAN-SPAM.
Privacy-Focused Data Collection #
- We only collect the minimum necessary contact information—specifically phone numbers and email addresses—used solely for delivering reminders.
- No personal health information (PHI) or sensitive data is collected or stored, making PostReminder HIPAA-safe and compliant.
- Users may also choose to set calendar reminders without providing any contact details.
- PostReminder does not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) beyond contact details (email and phone number), and no names, addresses, government IDs, or other sensitive identifiers are ever required.
Security Practices #
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest to ensure the highest level of data protection.
PostReminder is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is compliant with industry-leading security standards, including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP.
The platform is further secured with:
- Network firewalls and traffic monitoring
- Intrusion detection and prevention systems
- DDoS mitigation
- Automated daily backups and incident response protocols
Stored contact data is retained for 30 days after the final reminder is sent, after which it is automatically deleted to protect user privacy and ensure compliance.
Legal Compliance #
- We strictly comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the CAN-SPAM Act.
- For this reason, PostReminder cannot and does not share collected phone numbers or email addresses with clients. This prevents misuse and ensures all communications remain permission-based and lawful .
- Clients are responsible for securing proper consent for any marketing activities involving external data .
SMS & Email Delivery #
- All reminders are sent via Twilio and Twilio SendGrid, a trusted industry leader for secure message delivery.
- Clients cannot access or export user contact data from the platform.
