Attribution Details Overview #
The Attribution Details section allows you to track and measure response from multiple marketing tactics within a single campaign.
Each attribution entry represents a unique marketing tactic and generates its own URL and QR code, enabling PostReminder to measure performance at both the tactic level and the campaign level.

When to Use Attribution Details #
Use Attribution Details when you are driving traffic to the same landing page with the same offer across multiple marketing channels.
Common Use Case #
If you are using multiple tactics such as:
- Direct mail (postcards, letters)
- Email marketing
- Digital ads
- Broadcast or cable (DRTV)
…and all tactics point to the same landing page, offer, and offer code, Attribution Details allows you to:
- Measure response by individual marketing tactic
- Compare performance across channels
- Understand which tactics are driving the most engagement and reminders
For example, if a direct mail postcard, a digital ad, and a DRTV commercial all promote the same offer and destination, you can track each one separately using Attribution Details—without creating multiple campaigns.
When NOT to Use Attribution Details #
If your marketing tactics use different offers or different landing pages, it is best to create separate campaigns instead of using Attribution Details.
Create a Separate Campaign When: #
- Offers are different
- Landing pages are different
- Creative or messaging is meaningfully different
- You want results reported independently at the campaign level
This ensures data remains accurate and easy to interpret.
How Attribution Details Work #
Each Attribution entry includes:
- Media Type Select the type of marketing tactic (e.g., Direct Mail, Email Marketing, Broadcast/Cable).
- Description Use this field to label or name the tactic (e.g., “6×9 Postcard,” “Email Follow-Up,” “DRTV Commercial”).
- Estimated Quantity Enter the estimated distribution or impression volume for the tactic.
- Landing Page URL Automatically generated unique URL for that tactic.
- QR Code A unique QR code generated for each attribution entry.
Each attribution entry is tracked independently, even though all entries roll up into a single campaign.
Why Attribution Details Are Important #
Individual Tactic Measurement #
Each attribution generates its own:
- Unique URL
- Unique QR code
- Response and click metrics
This allows you to measure performance by tactic, not just by campaign.
Cross-Campaign Insights #
Attribution Details also help standardize how tactics are labeled across campaigns.
Because tactics are named and categorized consistently, PostReminder can:
- Measure tactic performance within a campaign
- Compare how the same tactic performs across multiple campaigns
- Help identify which channels consistently drive better results
Cleaner Reporting & Better Optimization #
Using Attribution Details enables:
- Clearer attribution reporting
- More accurate response rate calculations
- Smarter optimization decisions based on real performance data
Best Practices #
- Use Attribution Details only when offers and landing pages are the same
- Clearly label each tactic using the Description field
- Use Estimated Quantity to contextualize response rates
- Use separate campaigns when offers or landing pages differ
- Always use the unique QR code or URL assigned to each tactic
